Who we are

Shaw’s Law is a law firm based in Argyll set up by Heather Shaw. Heather is a local to Argyll but practiced as a solicitor in England prior to returning home to practice Scottish Law. The knowledge of how things are done both sides of the border is extremely useful – particularly for clients purchasing property in Scotland as a second home or relocating.

Heather was joined in December 2020 by Sorley Henderson as a Director to the practice, Sorley brings with him a wealth of experience – over 25 years practising as a Solicitor in the local area and beyond, especially his expertise of conveyancing, crofting law, executry law and practice.

Shaw’s Law was set up to provide an alternative to the traditional stereotype of a law firm. Shaw’s Law has embraced technology to speed up processes and reduce costs and works hard with partners to ensure a smooth transaction where you, the client, is never left in limbo unsure as to what is happening with your case.

At Shaw’s Law we aim to provide a first class law service but without being hindered by old traditions.
