Welcome to Shaw’s Law

At Shaw’s Law we aim to provide a first class law service but without being hindered by old traditions.

Why Choose Us?

  • No Legal Jargon. At Shaw’s Law we communicate using everyday language and to avoid legal jargon.
  • Communication is Key. We update you even if nothing has happened! We give weekly updates, usually on a Friday if there has been no contact during that week. It means there is constant review of your case and you can be assured that you have not been forgotten (which we know is a common complaint in the world of house sale/purchases).
  • Text / Email / Phone / Face to Face. Updates via text, email or phone – you choose.
  • Direct line to your solicitor. We will provide you with a mobile number to your solicitor. Feel free to call at any time. We are not restricted by office hours of 9-5 and appreciate that many people are unable to call us during 9-5.
  • We embrace technology. We run a paperless office so we can access your file wherever we are.
  • Proactive. In our line of trade being proactive is a necessity. Every day spent waiting for a response from clients or other sources is a waste of time, and is detrimental to completion. We have strict internal time limits, so that we take the initiative to speed up the responses and processes to successfully complete a transaction.

We may not be changing the law, but we can change our approach to it.

  • Buying or selling a home may be one of the biggest transactions that you ever undertake. The process can be stressful and sometimes complex.
  • Everyone should consider making a Will and, once a Will has been made, it is essential that you continue to review your Will on any change in personal circumstances: for example, the death of a loved one, birth of a child or breakdown of a relationship.
  • Are you owed money? Have you had an accident? Have you got a dispute with someone that you just can’t settle?
